Global Licensing NZ Ltd Appointed Licensing Agent for The Rocky Horror Show in Australia & New Zealand
The Rocky Horror Show is a brand which has become part of our cultural landscape. Having shone the light on inclusivity (at a less accepting time), the Rocky Horror Show opened in 1973... during Glam Rock and before Punk, Women’s Liberation and Gay Pride.
It has been performed in over 30 countries and has a current 50th Anniversary Tour in progress starring Jason Donovan, recently breaking box office records in Melbourne as the highest grossing show ever at the Athenaeum Theatre.
Rocky Horror is an icon with huge fan and social engagement including 600M views of #ROCKYHORROR on TikTok (and continuing to climb as new generations discover and find new ways to engage with the brand)! The classic movie is also airing on Disney+.
The licensing programme includes a new style guide with logos, characters, lyrics, icons, patterns & slogans along with vintage poster artwork. Focus categories for Global will include Apparel & Accessories, Gifting, Homewares, Makeup, Prints & Posters & more.

Mitch Dowd Signs Apparel Agreement for BSA Motorcycles
Global Licensing NZ Ltd (on behalf of Licensing Management International Ltd) has secured a BSA Motorcycles apparel licensing agreement with Mitch Dowd for Australia & New Zealand.
This new agreement encompasses Adult & Children's Outerwear, Sleepwear, Underwear, Socks and Headwear. The first t-shirt designs are expected to launch first half of 2024.
BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company Ltd), was founded in 1861, for the production of firearms. The brand’s motorcycle division was set up in 1903, and the first motorcycle followed in 1910. The 1930s introduced the B31, Gold Flash and the Bantam. Later years delivered even more excellent machines with those evocative titles; Lightning, Rocket, Shooting Star, Spitfire, Gold Star, Firebird, Thunderbolts, Royal Star Starfire. BSA enjoyed great success and by 1951 had become the world's biggest motorcycle manufacturer. One in every four motorcycles sold worldwide was a BSA.
BSA Motorcycles was acquired in October 2016 by Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group. This iconic British motorcycle brand is now back and they return with the all new BSA Gold Star. A design icon of its era, redefined to reclaim its glory in the current times, the new BSA Gold Star’s design is a befitting evolution of BSA’s most successful motorcycle.

SPCA (Royal NZ Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Incorporated) has appointed Global Licensing NZ Ltd as Licensing Agent.
The SPCA (Royal NZ Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Incorporated) has appointed Global Licensing NZ Ltd as New Zealand Licensing Agent.
Global has the right to represent the SPCA including logos, images, copyrights and trademarks with respect to the licensing of the brand to third party promotional, merchandising or services Licensees.
SPCA is the voice for neglected, abandoned or abused animals in New Zealand. Together with local communities, SPCA has been protecting animals for over 150 years. They are New Zealand’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, with 29 centres, 6 vet partnerships and employing 500 people across the country to provide support for over 31,000 animals coming through their centres each year.
SPCA’s founding ethos is ‘to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves’. They;

These are available across NZ in Briscoes, Mitre 10 and on the NZ AA Website. Further products are planned to extend the range including Paste Wax & Soft Wax.

Peter Alexander Launch Roald Dahl Sleepwear Collection
Leading Australian sleepwear retailer Peter Alexander has launched a wonderful new range of adult & children's sleepwear based on the classic children's books by world famous author, Roald Dahl.
These garments feature artwork by the original illustrator, Sir Quentin Blake, and are based on titles such as Matilda, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, James & the Giant Peach and The Twits.
This agreement between Peter Alexander Sleepwear Pty Ltd and The Roald Dahl Story Company was negotiated by Global Licensing NZ Ltd.

Ladelle Launches Resene Living Candles & Diffusers
Ladelle has recently launched an exciting new range of Resene Living Candles and Diffusers in Briscoes, New Zealand's largest homewares retailer.
The Resene Colour Block range is inspired by vibrant Resene colours. NZ's favourite iconic colours, including Resene Happy Hour and Resene Bowie, are re-imagined as scents which infuse the home with fragrance while also bringing a pop of colour.

Global Licensing NZ Ltd has secured a new Resene Living licensing agreement with Ladelle Australia for Housewares product categories.
The expansive product list includes Kitchen Co-ordinates, Napery, Hard Home Products, Bathroom Products, PVC Tabletones, Teaware and Coffee, Drinkware, Candles & Diffusers.
The first range of kitchen products launched in Briscoes, New Zealand’s leading homewares retailer in January 2021. This fashionable line, with designs based upon the latest on-trend Resene interior paint colours, includes Aprons, Single Oven Gloves, Double Mitts, Pot Holders and Tea Towels. Following soon will be Resene Living Candles and Diffusers, with fragrances inspired by specific Resene colours.
To help drive sales, Resene will promote these products heavily in Habitat Magazine (NZ’s highest readership lifestyle magazine), their Website, EDM mailing and through social channels including Instagram.

Book Hungry Bears is a NZ, Canada and China co-production between Pūkeko Pictures, Breakthrough Entertainment and Hengxin Shambala Kids, and is distributed by 9Story. 52 x 11 min episodes (Series 1) are broadcast on ABC in Australia and TVNZ in NZ.

Book Hungry Bears is a celebration of the love of children’s picture books. Each book’s illustrations appear just as they do in the book - they don’t magically animate, it is the reading of the book that brings the stories to life. Every adventure is a captivating experience centred around a book, a lesson and relating this back to everyday life. It is a way of enriching young children’s lives through great stories, and a great book.

Global Licensing NZ Ltd appointed Australia & NZ Licensing Agent for Classic Art Brand "Love Is"
Minikim Holland B.V., worldwide licensor of the classic '70's art/design brand "Love Is", in conjunction with J & M Brands, has appointed Global Licensing NZ Ltd as licensing agent for Australia & NZ. Love Is was created in the late 1960's by NZ-born Kim Casali, who created little sentimental notes with a small drawing for her future husband Roberto. On Jan 5th 1970 theses private missives first appeared in the Los Angeles Times and soon became a phenomenon.
Global Director, Mark Paul says "We believe now is the perfect time to reintroduce this classic art brand, given the uncertain and challenging world we are in at present. We could certainly do with a bit more love right now. There are over 9,000 designs (Classic & Modern), text can be altered, colours changed and new artwork created for specific products, events or retailers. There is wide scope to create something unique and appealing".
